its just beyond the fear.

ok so here's another christmas post for you...
not necessarily on purpose, (although, who doesn't love a little christmas in july??) but i was listening to this song, by garth brooks, on my way home from arrowhead today (went up with my babysitting fam this weekend, who have a lovely house up there), and was reminded of how amazing it is and what a wonderful story it tells... and it gives me chills. always the mark of a good song. :) i especially love the last couple of lines. enjoy.

...
But for just one fleeting moment
The answer seemed so clear
Heaven's not beyond the clouds
It's just beyond the fear

No, heaven's not beyond the clouds
It's for us to find it here

i hope you get to find a little piece of heaven this week and i hope this finds you in happiness health and love xoxo

p.s- shout out to my baby brother on his 15th birthday!! love you bud! :)

hey mr. piñata.

so against my better judgement i have decided to blog at 1:30 in the morning. {which will probably result in me getting into bed sometime around 2:30}. i have to get up tomorrow (slash today i suppose) at 8 to get ready for work but ohh well its summer right?....besides i feel like i can think better late at night. maybe because my mind is trying to digest everything that happened through the day, so its already reeling. plus i feel like i can write better too....did/do you ever write last minute papers for school late at night? for me they're always my best work. maybe weird?..but maybe the same for you too?? :)
also it could be that i'm inspired/uplifted by the movie i just watched...the notebook. arguably one of the best movies of my generation, if not of all time. i was streaming tears through the entire thing and definitely did some solid crying through the last 30 min or so. always gets me. but how could it not? such a classic love story, but at the same time not so classic at all, which i think is why i love it so. oh and for the record i also wish i lived in the 40's. just, ya know, another time period to add to my started list of time wish's. what time period do you wish you could live in? why? for me its the clothes, cars, simplicity, and the general attitudes of the people ...including the gentlemen...particularly noah. (he definitely competes with ben covington as my fictional love. we'll see how it plays out)

oh and i went to descanso gardens on monday. it was a gorgeous day and my partner in crime and i had so much fun running through the rose gardens picking out spots appropriate for a wedding ceremony. normal? perhaps not for some, but for us? yes. yes it is. :) {i say partner in crime because we may or may not have not used the main entrance to get in... question mark? i guess you'll never know.}

mm and i have recently discovered this singer on youtube and i am obsessed. particularly with {this} song of hers. its so fun, but also is kind of sad when you listen to the lyrics. i hope she makes a cd someday.

as always i hope this finds you in happiness, health and love xoxo

ps. dorm bedding news? still looking. i have now bought 4, returned first 2, thinking of returning the 3rd, and considering keeping the 4th. am i thinking too much about this? probably. but i wanna be comfy up in spokane so it may be worth it. we'll see.
OH and i am in the all girls dorm at gonzaga. welch. (as in welch's grape juice?? mhm. ok so now that i think of it, it gets points for its name, if not anything else). it was my 3rd and last choice. did not want to be in an all girls. wanted to mix it up a little. however life is about sometimes getting your last choice, and sometimes having that last choice work out for the best. here's to hoping that's the case. and here's to thinking everything happens for a reason.

perfume on the pages.

oh how i wish we still wore these types of bathing suits....how cute are they??

i have been into anything vintage these past couple of weeks.
while shopping at j. crew with my sister a couple weekends ago i think i used the phrase "ooo it looks so vintage" like 5 million times. i think it started to annoy her after like the 4 millionth time. but she put up with me...good sport that she is. :). this phrase was also used when shopping for my college dorm bed spread. who knew? so far that quest is failing....but i have faith. i will find my perfect vintagey dorm decor. i will. i will.

i wish i lived in the 50's.
reading letters from 50 years ago, found in an antique store, from people ive never heard of/met, is like reading a good book or like going back in time.
so romantic;
the idea of writing a letter to a loved one and then having someone random find it years later...pretty neat don't you think?

i wish people still wrote letters. good old fashioned letters. its something i want to do more of.

this is the end to my random 2:00 am thoughts. :)

hope this finds you in happiness, health and love xoxo
